Re:            Passing of Elder Watson Diggs Awardee Thomas E. Howard, Jr. 

           

One of our best friends has gone to the Golden Shores.  We are happy for Thomas as we know God has made a special place in Heaven for him.  I spoke with his family this morning and know well what they have to manage.  I call upon each of you for your prayers for Brother Howard’s family.  Thomas provided exemplary service to his community.  He was a well-respected father and grandfather.   He was a devoted husband, a Christian and a leader in Kappa Alpha Psi.  As Chairman of the National Achievement Commission we discussed his role and what he saw the work of the commission to entail.   Brother Howard will certainly be missed.  He was an inspiration to me.

 

As I reflect upon our relationship, his praiseworthy contributions and benevolence, there are so many joyous memories that come to mind.  Our time together on the Council of Province Polemarchs saw a marked difference in the leadership of the Fraternity due to his service. 

 

Our Brother served with such humility that we pray for him and his family that they receive God’s continued mercy and grace.  Please pause a moment and reflect upon the life of our Brother.  I know how much that would mean to his family, his memory and for the decency of our beloved Fraternity.    

 

May GOD bless you and your families, and Kappa Alpha Psi.  One KAPPA!
